How to create Power Passwords?
You might wonder on what is a Power Password. It is a term I coined for passwords that is hard to guess(hack). Most people call it effective or strong password. I rather call it a power password since it must be hard enough to hack that even the marvel super hero Iron Man(great movie by the way) cannot guess(yes man I'm exaggerating). I'm not sure where I got that term but that is what I've been teaching my interns ever since I started doing business online.
However, power passwords should NOT be too difficult for you to remember. There is nothing more stupid than a person who sets a password and even himself is locked out of it(hah!). So, here's some ways to create power passwords that you can easily remember.
First, the secret of creating a power password is using an unlock pattern. Here's how: replace letters with numbers like number 1 for letter 'i' or number 3 for letter 'e'. Create a pattern and be consistent with it.
Given the pattern above, replace the letters of your chosen word with numbers according to the unlock pattern. So, if your desired password is 'friend' your new password will now be ''fr13nd".
This is a bit hard to guess password but we still have to add a few characters to create a power password. The next thing to do is to add special characters like the dollar sign($), asterisk(*), pound(#), at sign(@), exclamation mark(!), underscore(_), dash or minus(-), plus(+), parenthesis (), colon(:) and semi-colon(;). You can also use the square, curly or angle brackets, percent and ampersand. The key here is to choose at least 2 special characters and create a pattern to it.
Let's choose the dollar sign($) and the pound(#). We want to attach the special characters on the password we created above by "sandwiching" it. So, our power password is
$#fr13nd#$
Now, that is hard to guess but you can still easily remember. You can place the special characters on the center if you want. Again, the secret here is to create a pattern so you won't forget your password.
That easy! Start using POWER PASSWORDS NOW!
